Sewing

The “Mini Dress” Simplicity 8264.

Cynthia Rowley is probably my favorite pattern designer. I made Simplicity 8264 view A in this beautiful brocade. It’s a bit short, so I  added 2 inches to the length but I didn’t like it. Since I’m not very good at acting like a “lady” I’ll wear it with tights.

Pattern Description: Top and mini dress has a touch of femininity with ruffle on stand-up collar and sleeves.

Pattern Sizing: 4 – 20. I cut size 8.

Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes, sort of, a bit square though..😂

Were the instructions easy to follow? Yes.

What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?  I like the ruffles and the simplicity of it.

Fabric Used: Chinese Brocade. You can find it Here.

Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I originally added 2″ to the length but it didn’t look right.

Would you sew it again? I will probably sew the top and pants.

Would you recommend it to others? Yes!!
