I’m a very slow sewist, is that a word? It takes me forever to finish even the simplest pattern. It has taken me over two weeks to finish these flared jeans by Mc Calls 7547 I probably take too many breaks. I like to take my time especially when topstitching is involved.
I cut a size 12 and graded down to a size 10 for the waist. I shouldn’t have it was almost too small. I also had to do a swayback adjustment on the waistband. The legs didn’t quite look like the picture on the envelope, I had to taper them around my thighs. This pattern calls for a lapped zipper but I accidentally installed an invisible one. Overall these are cute and easy to sew, I might make them again.
